Express News Bulletin

Top stories, at express speed.

Advertise

Express News Bulletin offers advertising to brands that want to reach readers who follow the day's top stories at express speed. This page sets out how advertising works here, what we will and will not sell, and how readers can tell advertising from news.

Placements. Advertising appears in clearly defined slots in the header, article and footer areas of the site. Every placement is labelled as advertising. Creative must be decent, lawful and suitable for a general news audience; we do not accept creative that is misleading, sensationalised to mimic news, or inconsistent with the standards we apply to our own published images. Final availability, sizes and dates are confirmed in writing in reply to an enquiry.

Separation. Advertising and editorial are separate operations. Advertisers do not preview, approve or influence news coverage, headlines, desk assignments or corrections decisions. A commercial relationship with this outlet or with 24World Media does not buy coverage on this site, does not soften accurate reporting, and does not remove it. Where sponsored content is ever published, it is labelled Sponsored, written to a distinct standard, and kept separate from the news report; paid links carry rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" as appropriate.

Standards for advertisers. We ask advertisers to identify the legal advertiser, the product or service being promoted, and the landing page before a booking is confirmed. We do not accept advertising that promises guaranteed investment returns, unproven medical cures, or rankings and traffic we cannot guarantee — and we do not sell those things ourselves. Political and advocacy advertising, where accepted, must identify its sponsor.

Rates and booking. We do not publish a fixed rate card here because availability depends on dates, placement and campaign length. Send the advertiser name, intended flight dates, placement preference and creative type through the Contact page with "Advertising" in the subject, or write to [email protected], and the commercial team will confirm options and labelling requirements. Network-wide campaigns across multiple 24World Media outlets are coordinated by the publisher; a booking with this outlet alone covers this outlet alone.

Reader promise. If you are a reader rather than an advertiser: advertising will never be dressed up as a news story, a headline will never promise what the article does not deliver in order to sell a placement, and a correction will never be withheld because of a commercial relationship. Concerns about an advertisement on this site can be sent through the Contact page and will be reviewed.

Express News Bulletin is published by 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067. See also Services for the wider set of publisher services and the Code of Ethics for the standards that govern the news side of the site.

Creative review. All creative is reviewed before it runs. We check that the advertiser is identified, the claim in the creative is one the advertiser can substantiate, and the landing page delivers what the advertisement promises. Creative that imitates a news headline, a byline, a correction notice or an official alert will be rejected or required to carry clearer labelling. We reserve the right to pause or remove, without prior notice, creative found to be unlawful, deceptive or harmful to readers, and to decline categories inconsistent with a general news audience.

Measurement. Campaign reporting covers delivery in the booked placements for the booked dates. We do not guarantee clicks, conversions, search rankings or revenue, and we do not sell them. If delivery falls short of a confirmed booking for technical reasons on our side, the commercial team will offer a make-good placement of equivalent value or a pro-rata adjustment, confirmed in writing.
